Looking Back at 2018
Africa Health Expo 2018
2018 was a year of new opportunities and experiences for the Well-Care Medical Team. It marked the first time Well-Care Medical participated in the annual Africa Health Exhibition held in Johannesburg, South Africa. This event aims to connect various stakeholders involved in healthcare technology, products and services across Africa. It was an ideal opportunity for the Company and the Team to discover other healthcare offerings and network with interested and related parties. The Team worked hard to showcase Well-Care Medical’s dedicated and multi-faceted approach to healthcare product provision as well as our passionate attitude towards customer service. The Team returned with a refreshed mindset and the motivation to do better for next year’s operations. We look forward to sharing more of our products and services at the Africa Health Exhibition in May 2019.
Heritage Day
Every year at Well-Care Medical, we look forward to our Heritage Day celebration where our team members are encouraged to dress in traditional attire and tell other members more about their respective cultures and religions. This year some of our members gave presentations on Indian, Zulu and Chinese culture and practices which were enlightening and enjoyable for everyone. We try to foster a spirit of understanding and inclusivity at Well-Care Medical so that all our members and customers feel valued.
Wheelchair Donation
Mr Moodley currently lives with multiple myeloma and reached out to us about a possible wheelchair donation as he struggled to move around efficiently and independently and often relied on his community members for their assistance. Well-Care Medical’s Welfare Committee immediately submitted a proposal to our senior management and put the necessary operations in motion to accommodate Mr Moodley. After receiving his wheelchair, Mr Moodley extended his heartfelt thanks to the Team with a letter saying “From the bottom of my heart I wish to thank your Team for the donation. May God richly bless you and may your Organisation grow from strength to strength.”
